All the heroes are Gondor heroes (...eventually) doing what Gondor Heroes do best. Holding back the tide. Noone ever tell you Dori was adopted at birth?
This deck is made to defend. It's got some good elven allies to do some ranged attacking but it doesn't hit crazy numbers. Can't quest at all so pairs well with a high deck.
Mulligan looking for Steward of Gondor or King Under the Mountain and both go on Dori.
resources are barely required so unless you're saving for somthing in your hand, use Denethor's ability to give his resource to Beregond (Or Dori if he's got Steward of Gondor on him...or another player's Gondor hero)
Beregond gets first dibs on a Gondorian Shield, an Armored Destrier and a Raven-winged Helm. Dori gets the next lot and Denethor last. Beregond can also take Captain of Gondor although that's really just over the top at this point.
The events are mostly geared around extra defenses (or their avoidance). Sneak Attack is for the Gandalf combo and We Are Not Idle is just to thin the deck (Though if a resource is desperately needed Dori could be exhausted)
Derndingle Warriors are for supplimental defenses and Honour Guard/Raven-winged Helm will doubtless save the day more than once.
When fully geared up the heroes can provide 2 sentinal defenses at 6/7 , 2 sentinal defenses at 4 and 2 regular defenses at 5 without touching event cards.
If the big bad is hitting a bit harder then Dori can team up with Beregond to let him defend an attack at 10/11 .
Sideboard
Mostly quest specific options. If somebody else desperately needs Steward of Gondor you can swap it out for The Day's Rising (and put it on Beregond instead of Dori), however, getting Dori the Gondor trait makes the Gondorian Shield and therefore his own ability that much better.
