Silvan decks have always been one of my favourite to play. The new Bond of Friendship contract is also a really fun way to build decks. I rattled this deck off really quickly, it almost built itself.
Elrond
Elrond is the main defender. He also does all the usual things, Vilya, healing boost, paying for allies etc.
Elrond gets:
- Unexpected Courage - so he can Vilya every turn
- Vilya - so he can Vilya every turn
- Steward of Gondor - so he can pay for allies
- Cloak of Lórien - to make him even more of a defender
Celeborn
Celeborn is there for his Silvan boosting power. He can be The Elvenking although you might want the extra readying on Elrond.
Galadriel
Galadriel is the threat reduction and card draw engine for the deck. With The Elvenking in play and a Galadriel's Handmaiden in hand you can reduce your threat by 2 each round for 2 cost (or 1 if you have O Lórien! by using Galadriel's ability and The Elvenking to return the handmaiden back to your hand. This is an important combo since we have a ridiculous starting threat!
Galadriel gets:
- Mirror of Galadriel - for more card draw
- Nenya - to give her willpower to other characters
Legolas
Legolas it the main attacker.
Legolas gets:
- Bow of the Galadhrim - to boost his attack
- Rivendell Bow - for even more attack!
Notes
- Sneak Attack Gandalf should not be in this deck, but I couldn't help myself.
- There's plenty of threat reduction included, you'll need it!
- This deck has not been well play-tested, but it worked really well in the one playthrough I did with it. I'm sure it can be improved, I'd love to get comments on what can be done to tweak it!
