I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying this deck. I have an updated version of this deck featuring many of the new Noldor discard-based cards that is one of my favorites as well.

Why resourceful?

Elrond’s ability to pay resources for allies on any sphere makes resource acceleration (like Resourceful) especially powerful. In most decks, Resourceful is expensive once you are out of Secrecy, however Vilya means you can stack it on the top of your deck and play it on Elrond without paying the cost. You can do the same with Steward of Gondor, but my goal with this deck was to keep it thematic to Elrond and the elves of Rivendell. Steward of Gondor does not fit the theme.
