Chataigne 3
Mulligan for master of the forge. In early game you control the encounter deck with Denethor while you put traps and build your ent army. The deck gets thinner really fast thanks to card draw. Aragorn is here for threat control. Steward ad heir of Mardil go on Denethor so you can also defend with him if needed.

Apr 30, 2024Thanks for your comment. I was wondering if Blood of Númenor was really useful. I completely agree it comes late in the game. I'll try your suggestion of a second Wingfoot. |
Apr 30, 2024i think you ĺl be quite better with Denethor and then use Thorongil and/or add some Henamarth Riversong if you count scrying as much important. doing this, you do not need the 3 Song of Kings and can play Steward of Gondor from turn 1. and doing so, i would add 1-2 Armored Destrier. the only flaw is, you get only 2 cards for Mithrandir's Advice, but with alle the Master of the Forge and Deep Knowledge around, i think thats o.k. |
I don't think Blood of Númenor is worth it. You need Steward of Gondor to make it effective and Celebrían's Stone to play it. By that point in the game, the defense boost is far too late. You would be better off with a chump blocker for a boss enemy. I would take a second copy of Wingfoot, assuming you use Denethor each turn.
