Disclaimer: This deck was built to defeat City of the Corsairs, and would have really benefited from resource acceleration with Resourceful and Secrecy cards, but I only have the new, Revised Content and this amazing Flight to the Ford starter deck (Thanks, AutumnRose!).

Starting Game:

  • Narlenya (for -1 cost on first ally) + Dreamchaser

Strategy:

  • Quest through the first stage by playing cheap (0, 1, 2) cost allies
  • Ideal opening hand is Ioreth, Galadhrim Weaver, Heed the Dream, Strider, and then something that gives you card draw like Daeron's Runes, Ancient Mathom, or something that helps with the first location Travel costs in the staging area like Thrór's Map
  • I tend to trigger Aragorn's ability back to the starting threat around round 3 if Light of Valinor isn't on Glorfindel or Elrond's Counsel hasn't shown up
  • Ideally need to commit about 6 characters to the Sailing test each round
  • Great to get Ranger of Cardolan into play with the -1 discount during Stage 1 if possible.
  • Once Stage 1 is completed, you can take your time to get through Stage 3 and clear the encounter area of enemies and annoying locations that give resources to enemies. In preparation for the final battle, it's good to try and get Fair and Perilous for Glorfindel, and always good to save up for Gandalf. I've been able to defeat Sahir usually on the same round I advance to Stage 4.

This deck isn't sexy, but I've beaten City of the Corsairs 3/3 with it.
