Gildor Inglorion is a very powerful ally. Five resources is steep, especially in , but for this; it's definitely worth it. He's a good quester and defender, his ability is awesome, and you can always throw in extra attack if you need it. With Vilya on the table, you'll always get your money's worth. The only part about I don't like is that I never know weather to use him to quest, defend, or use his ability!
Gildor Inglorion
Noldor.
Action: Exhaust Gildor Inglorion to look at the top 3 cards of your deck. Switch one of those cards with a card from your hand. Then, return the 3 cards to the top of your deck, in any order.
The Hills of Emyn Muil #79. Lore.
Not cheap, but he's got a hero stats and a hero ability. Throw Valiant Determination and A Burning Brand on him for a great quester/defender - even in Battle and Siege quests. It's a bit much, but if you wanted to go for a voltron Gildor thing and you can manage to get it set up then Sneak Attack Gildor in during the planning phase and slap Sword-thain on to him to officially make him a hero. Then he won't leave play at the end of the phase (since he's no longer an ally) and you've got yourself another hero to gain resources and throw hero-only attachments on.
