Song of Travel is a card I've never found a particular use for. Obviously the merits of having resources handy are high, but there's not really one really good reason to play this other than in some combo deck with WotW or Song of Earendil. Song of Wisdom has Burning Brand, Song of Kings has Steward of Gondor (pre-Good Harvest), Song of Travel is just good.

I find it quite useful to supplement an Elfhelm deck. Getting willpower boosts on your questing heroes that aren't already spirit is useful, especially if it also helps with resource smoothing. I like to use it for TaEowyn or TaTheoden along with Herugrim and Golden Shield — Onidsen 1102
