One of my new favorite decks to play. It's not going to beat every quest (any quest that limits threat reduction will probably crush this deck) but it can throw more high cost cards out with more control than any deck of tried thus far.
Starting Hand
Thanks to Dain's Power, this deck can find the necessary cards to get rolling very quickly, even if it is unsuccessful with its opening draw. That being said, you are looking for Ring of Thrór or Vilya in your starting hand as both are necessary for getting most of the cards in the deck into play.
Gameplay
This deck is fun because money is kind of beside the point. Using Wizard Pipe, Dáin Ironfoot, Flame of Anor and Ring of Thrór, you have an obscene amount of control over what is on top of your deck, and several different modes of putting it into play.
This deck is strong at fighting, average at questing. You could shuffle around the allies (I'm considering adding in the Haradrim Allies) to focus more on questing over combat.
Limitations
38 THREAT! This is the other... um... fun side of this deck. You are never more than a bad few turns away from threating out. For this reason, Favor of the Valar is an essential attachment that should be focused on more than almost any other. This deck has numerous options for reducing threat, but if favor of valar isn't up, you are playing a dangerous game.

Mar 22, 2021spiritdain with some dwarfes, i like to play Thorongil on him. fine boost and it can be played with ring of thror. you can theoretically reduse the thread if you take (MotK) Gildor Inglorion instead of gandalf (one use of him and he can arrange vilya and ring of thror). i like to pair Ring of Thrór with Éowyn in a partnerdeck to make it unguarded as soon as possible. would replace Valiant Determination there are about 4 allies that are worth of it, and then it only get you +2 willpower. get Faramir in, then its worth it, or replace with other nice attachements (e.g. Miruvor Asfaloth Armor of Erebor ) |
In spite of the threat level, I love the hero combination.
