Bonus Hero!

The rules of player elimination state that if all the heroes a player controls are in his/her discard pile that player is eliminated. All cards that player controls are then removed from the game. The game then continues as if there was 1 less player. Therefore, if you pass Ceorl before you do that and before the questing phase and play as many attachments on another player (passing control to them) as you can, you can give another player a nice boost.

  1. Make this deck player 1.
  2. Play all the cards from your hand.
  3. Use Caldara's resource to give Ceorl to player 2 4 Discard Boromir and Caldara
  4. This deck is eliminated and the other deck can continue with a bonus hero.

This gives you a bonus leadership hero for the cost of an extra player at setup (which is nothing in some quests).

You can use Folco and the lore cards as an alternative for Borromir and the tactic cards. Cards that require specific cards from the other player deck are in the sideboard.

Cool idea but I am not sure if it's a good idea to use the Side Quests, since I think those might be discarded when you're eliminated

improve it with some Wealth of Gondor and captains wisdom (work up to 2 times with boromir ^^)

Use this along a three hunters to make them four!!

I would be curious to see the ruling on whether Ceorl would revert back to ally or be discarded since the gaining player doesn't control Messenger of the King contract and the contract would leave play when the player was eliminated.

The contract is attached to Ceorl so whoever controls him controls it as opposed to being the owner.

Ah @Beowulf_CadmusI missed that part of setup. Thank you!

@doomguardI did put them in the sideboard because I figured it required a Gondor hero on the other player, but you are correct. Chances are they'll help play more 1 cost Tactics attachments!

@nvbostwick``@Beowulf_Cadmus``@nvbostwickI made this deck under the assumption that this player is eliminated because all printed heroes they own are in the discard pile. And cards that upgrade allies to heroes would not prevent this. Gifting Ceorl to another player should keep him there, similar to playing Sword Thain on another player's ally.
