“For once more lust of battle was on him; and he was still unscathed, and he was young, and he was king: the lord of a fell people.”

Hi all! This is my first published decklist, and I’m excited to hear your comments and suggestions on how to make it better. I’ve been looking for a way to make Éomer do some work, and this is the result.

Rohan synergy, of course, revolves around allies leaving play to trigger various effects. Most of the allies in this deck, therefore, are either chump-blockers (Snowbourn Scout) or have special discard abilities (Escort from Edoras, The Riddermark's Finest). When one of these allies is either destroyed or discarded, Éomer gains +2 and Prince Imrahil readies. With all his toys attached, Éomer attacks with 9 that overflows from one destroyed enemy to another and reclaims lost chumps!

The hero lineup consists of some of the chief combatants on the Pelennor Fields. Éomer is the dedicated attacker (with Gúthwinë and Firefoot), Éowyn is the quester, and Prince Imrahil is the defender (equipped with Gondorian Shield) and jack-of-all-trades.

Because the deck’s cost is 50% spirit, Éowyn gets Steward of Gondor. Card draw is fueled by Ancient Mathom, Gandalf, and Valiant Sacrifice. A Very Good Tale allows me to get allies out quick, and Gúthwinë reclaims any Rohan allies that were discarded thereby.

How many resources do you end up with on Eowyn mid to late game? if you need some resource smoothing you could sideboard some Stand and Fight to help Eomer maybe. Or do you find that between Eomer and Gamling you have enough "salvaging" ? Also Horn of the Mark could greatly help with card draw, which is something I found Rohan to always be lacking in.

Éowyn does tend to stack up the resources as the game progresses, and if there’s something that this deck struggles with a bit it is card draw. I hadn’t thought of Horn of the Mark (my cardpool hasn’t expanded enough to include it), but that’s a fantastic suggestion! I think I’ll add that in (maybe replace Valiant Sacrifice), and I like the idea of Stand and Fight’s quasi card-draw too. Thanks so much for the great feedback,@chumbathewumba!
