Description

What an epic scenario. I tried so many different decks/fellowships/strategies.

Probably the most satisfied I've felt after completing a scenario. This one is definitely worth a revisit in the future.

After suffering the punishment of this scenario's shadow cards (chain carding is a huge problem) and the big hitting enemies - I finally decided upon the strategy of aiming to never defend with a hero. And it works.

It's possible to get into a nice groove with deck 1 offering up chump blockers, which readies Prince Imrahil and a loaded up Legolas can assist him via ranged in taking down most enemies. If you manage to get Blade of Gondolin out and The Banks as the active location, it's possible to add it to the victory display in turn one.

As this fellowship's strategy is chump blocking, it's really benficial to get Horn of Gondor out early too.

Load up Legolas with damage boosting attachments (e.g. DĂșnedain Mark, Blade of Gondolin, Rivendell Blade etc) as soon as you can. Foe-hammer for card draw.

The Master's Malice can kill Bifur, so it's important to slot Boots from Erebor onto him as soon as you can.

The Banks is the quest stage to avoid (the extra card at staging is brutal). The other stages are more manageable. Certainly, prioritise getting this into the victory display. Attempt to get the other locations into the victory display too (of course), but these both can double up as undefended attack fall-backs if you fail to do so.
