The sequel to Everything* Costs 2. Now with half the cost and twice the fun!

We had to say goodbye to some valuable 2-cost cards, most notably Unexpected Courage. But thankfully we have a bunch of consumable readying effects for Beregond to make up for the loss. Behind Strong Walls, Lembas, and Miruvor are the main ones, but Feint is even more effective.

Use Galdor of the Havens to trash your hand if you don't start with a Zigil Miner. A Protector of Lórien will let you trash your hand again for another 6 cards thanks to Galdor, ensuring you a very high success rate on getting Miners out early (Arwen can discard to get two resources to play them immediately).

This deck really burns through cards fast. The only duds in the deck for your Miners are other Miners and the Ethir Swordsmen. Luckily, both can be pulled back from the discard thanks to Dwarven Tomb. In this regard the deck runs even smoother than Everything* Costs 2.

You also don't have to be nearly as worried about losing your Will of the West to the Miners because you can pull those back with the Tomb as well. The mining here is fast and guilt free.

The main difficulty is attack. The Vassals of the Windlord are here to tie you over until your Knights of the Swan come online. It's disappointing to lose a Knight to the ruthless Miners, so if you are getting down to the bottom of the deck and there is still a Knight in there, try to draw it with Elven-light and Protector of Lórien before trashing the rest of the deck and playing Will of the West.

I'd say this deck is even more entertaining than Everything* Costs 2. You cycle through your deck faster, and every successful Miner lets you pay for 2 cards instead of 1, so you are basically just dumping your hand onto the table and drawing a new one with Elven-light each turn. For one attempt I had a bunch of enemies engage me all in one turn, and Beregond defended five or six times, putting Unexpected Courage to shame, and next turn I just reshuffled my deck and drew into all the same readying cards and did it all again.

Please give it a try and let me know how it goes! And stay tuned for the next deck in the series...

So, what's next? Everything* Costs 0 or Everything* Costs 3?

Speaking as a ultra-green noob, this deck compared to my crappy efforts is like getting out of a beat up Rambler and stepping into a Ferrari Daytona. Amazing work. Thanks for the description of the deck and the playthrough.
