Mathrandir 74
Deck specific to beat Peril in Pelargir, using only cards released until the Against the Shadow cycle and no saga cards.
This deck has met my goal of winning the scenario three times in a row.
Heroes with 9 attack to clear the starting location T1. Boromir forces the Thug to engage before quest resolution.
Mulligan for Shield of Gondor, it provides almost complete immunity from attacks in this scenario. Enemies will get through, Bow and Stones can only pick off a few.
Answers to worst encounter cards: -Hail of Stones and Legolas + Hands on the Bow v. Zealous Traitor and friends. -Elfhelm v. Local Trouble.
Answers to worst scenario specific cards: -Vassal of the Windlord and Veteran Axehand v. battle.
Notable omission, don’t need Test of Will that badly here.
Well done. I think you honed in on the central necessity of these quests (Heirs of Numenor) in solo..... 9 starting attack amongst heroes and lots of action advantage.
I've never liked these quests in solo because of how much they pin down your deckbuilding (especially in Progression!), but glad to see people come up with a little different take that gets the job done.
