This deck is my updated version of my "Loot for Folco" deck that I will be bringing to Con of the Rings 2019. It is updated with some cards that were omitted from the first version due to being used in other decks as well as to add in the Mithril Shirt from Fate of Wilderland, which is the only guarded attachment that does not go on Folco.

This deck has been updated to play better in multiplayer, swapping out Woodmen's Clearing for Secret Vigil to spread the threat reduction around a little.

Description from the previous version copied below:

I immediately thought that Fastred would be a perfect addition as his ability both keeps enemies in the staging area for Bilbo Baggins's ability and keeps threat low. Folco Boffin was the next inclusion, mainly as a way of compensating for Bilbo's starting threat.

What I quickly discovered is, with the exception of the shields, virtually all of these attachments work best on Folco. This means that unless I fail early on Folco tends to end the game with 6 willpower and 5 attack.

Is there a reason for Folco being there instead of Pippin if you're not sacrifing him anyway?

Lower starting threat and higher attack perhaps?

@Alonewolf87 that's exactly the reason. I put Folco in there initially to try and counteract Bilbo's high (for a Hobbit and his stats) threat, and then discovered that with two attack, Glamdring, and Sting he actually makes a pretty good attacker.

Isn't the threat of engaging an enemy still lower with Pippin than Folco Boffin (24 vs 23 threat, but +2 to engagement, plus benefit to others if playing multiplayer i.e. GenCon experience)? Additionally you're sacrificing 1 starting for the card draw ability, even when bouncing enemies is likely based on the other two heroes.
