This is still a concept deck, but I am liking the idea of this "Dead Marshes" deck (credit to Seastan). Put The One Ring on Frodo Baggins and select Power of Command as the Master card. With Power of Command, Frodo has 3 and using it's response, (MotK) Sam Gamgee has 4 (after paying the 1 resource to ready and boost him), and Sméagol has 3 for a total of 10 starting at turn 1.

If you mulligan for Fast Hitch and put it on Frodo, all 3 heroes can quest and all 3 heroes can be readied for the combat phase (ready Frodo with Fast Hitch, ready Smeagol with Frodo's response, and ready Sam with his response).

Self Preservation is a place holder for Well Preserved, a Master card being released with Under the Ash Mountains.

The Ruling Ring and Gaffer Gamgee will hopefully keep these squishy hobbits from getting attacked, but if they do have to defend, Hobbit Cloak and Protector of Lórien will give Sam and Frodo 4+ . Inner Strength and Well Preserved will give Frodo 5+ , 3 , and the ability to heal all damage.

Sneak Attack and Timely Aid should allow Gandalf, Faramir, and Galadriel to be played for 1 resource and offer 3+ for questing that turn.

Use The Master Ring to try to keep Smeagol from turning into Gollum.

I tried to get away with not using Rosie Cotton, but +2 , or +2 , or +2 (possibly multiple times) is hard to pass up.
