Challenge : defeat Nurn using only cards from 1 Core Set, A Shadow in the East and The Fortress of Nurn (aka the minimal card pool)
....
Looks hard. You have only 2 non-unique allies in the card pool with 2 , one of them beeing the Misty Mountain Journeyman who can easily die with his 1 . Your best questing ally is Westfold Lancer, and you know you're fucked up when you have to rely on for questing. Or, to say it otherwise, there is only one ally with more than Brok Ironfist (and that's Gandalf).
So i guess we have to rely on heroes for doing the work. All the work, as your deck will be... limited.
Éowyn and Glorfindel are the best questers out there (if The One Ring ends under a castle quest, all cards from the BoF deck will be food for Éowyn).
Aragorn and Frodo for in-build readying. Yes, you can also pray for your single copy of Unexpected Courage.
High starting threat, because the only attachment is Shining Shield.
Eleanor is a must have. Her solely purpose is to avoid every attack of Thane Ulchor during the first step of the quest.
I think 1 player is too hard, and you don't have enough cards for more than 3 players.
What do you think of it ? If i have some time to play it, i'll give it a try (but i'm currently going back to Aeon's End...). Maybe add some Gandalfs in the second deck too ?
