Discard Pile

Shep 279

The aim of this deck is to put into play quite strong unique allies as fast as possible.

Hard mulligan for Prince Imrahil or Emery + Sword-thain. Sword-thain only is a third choice if there is a low cost ally in your hand.

With Prince Imrahil or Sword Thain in play, discard Caldara when needed put into play 3 allies from the discard pile (4 if you have both into play). You are then already at 6 or 7 characters. With three (or four) heros and the ability of Arwen, playing the two lasts don't need a lot of time.

Dáin Ironfoot helps to put allies into the discard pile from the deck. Engage an enemy and use the Dain ability until you have the desired number of allies in the discard pile.

No ennemy ? You may quest quite well and use Arwen or Glorfindel ability to discard expensive allies from your hand. Control your threat with The Galadhrim's Greeting or Elrond's Counsel.

Stand and Fight is a perfect "heal" for the fellowship if a character dies outside the Organisation phase.

Elven-light is the draw engine of the deck and also the way to use Glorfindel to quest and attack twice with a stat of 4.

Not the strongest deck of the game, but very fun to play!

No need to bring back Caldara in game after its sacrifice!

Have fun!
