This is an easy to pilot Three Hunters Deck. Mulligan for any of the multiple ways to get the Tactics sphere on one of your heroes. Thorongil is great to get Éowyn in the game, Song of Battle can be played on Dáin Ironfoot if need be. Once that is done, thanks to reducing the cost of applying an attachment by one to each hero, it's simply a matter of getting the team equipped. Elven-light is also good to see because this deck is light on card draw and anything you can get is welcome. Plenty of readying is available - I typically set Dain up with Unexpected Courage first and then the second on Glorfindel if he already has Light of Valinor. #Snowmane is great on Eowyn once she finds Herugrim or Golden Shield. Ring of Thrór is great on Dain if for nothing else than to get another ready out of him.
Reforged and Dwarven Tomb are there to bring back any of the Spirit cards that might get discarded by Dain or from the encounter deck.
This deck is pretty consistent on the moderate difficulty quests I have taken it so far, namely Fog on the Barrowdowns, Journey Up The Anduin, The Massing at Osgiliath (tricky waiting for reinforcements) and Escape from Umbar.
The sideboard cards are there based on some of the uglier things that specialized quests can throw at you. Inner Strength is great for giving Dain an extra shield and shadow protection. Power of Orthanc is the only condition removal in Spirit and if a quest has anything that would disable a hero it is an auto-include.
Special shoutout to Silver Circlet. It is a +3 Willpower card when the contract flips and it is relatively cheap with the contract discount.
Why not start with Éowyn directly and than use Thorongil to bring Éowyn in play later?
