Built this as a fun deck after listening to the latest Card Talk episode on Healing Herbs, and seeing a few posts recently about Journey to Rhosgobel giving people fits. Obviously, most of the cards in this deck were not around when that quest came out, so it's not a fair fight. But we don't want a fair fight. We want revenge! If you want to take out your daily frustration on that quest, have at it!

Sméagol can't be used against any of the quests in Shadows of Mirkwood.

Oh drat! Then Switch out for Mirlonde, MOTK Ioreth, or any other low threat Lore hero.

With all of those ent characters, I would add 1 or 2 Leaflock if you have him.

@eddyvan, where did you hear that? I haven't heard anything about restrictions on using Sméagol. Did I miss something?

@TheThirdAge3018, perhaps, but according to the majority of reviews I've heard, Leaflock's pretty bad. At max, he's 1 more than Wellinghall Preserver, so I'd say the deck would be better off running an additional copy of Wandering Ent and Wellinghall Preserver than 2 Leaflocks or an additional Wellinghall Preserver instead of 1.

@SchadenfreudeNE, the deck looks interesting, though I do have a suggestion; cut at least 2 cards (perhaps the Soldiers of Isengard, there doesn't seem to be much Doomed synergy in the deck) in exchange for The One Ring and at least 1 copy of The Master Ring. There are several treacheries in Rhosgobel that protection from would be useful (Exhaustion, for one), and from the looks of it threat doesn't seem to be a problem for this deck.
