Locate tests? We don't need no stinking Locate tests. Just ramp up your as fast a possible and turn The Long Dark into The Short Dark. If you can move quick enough, and use cards like Ancestral Knowledge and Untroubled by Darkness, you can escape this scenario without needed to kill an enemy.
