Mythik 216
My first crack at the Harad archetype. Tries to make it easy to get the big three into play with Gríma's ability, Keys of Orthanc and Tighten Our Belts; and provide sufficient card draw to have the other allies in hand to feed Kahliel's ability.
Círdan quests and once has Unexpected Courage or Light of Valinor uses Narya to bump the stats of Jubayr. Gríma quests every round unless you play Peace, and Thought as his action is the least useful. Kahliel will fill the role you need for any given turn, but lacking any clear direction he quests and can be readied if needed.
Kahliel's Headdress is important to make sure you the allies back that get discarded for Kahliel's ability, but the willpower bonus can also be significant for big quest pushes if you can get a couple of the Tribesmen or Refugee's into play as well.
More games than I thought I would only get the big three and a single Tribesman into play, but that can be sufficient with the amount of readying and stat boots going around.
Also plenty of threat reduction to counter the doomed effects, and includes Will of the West to run through them again if required.
A couple of notable interactions:
-
A turn one Tighten Our Belts sets up both Firyal and Jubayr to be played turn two with Gríma's discount.
-
With Narya and a single Kahliel’s Tribesman, Jubayr can be a solid 6 , and then has the option of defeing again or attacking for 5
-
Usually Keys of Orthanc will be triggered by Gríma'a ability, but you can't use the resource it generates until after that card has been played. If you're one short even with Gríma's discount, use Deep Knowledge to trigger Keys and that will make up the difference.
