My current (2021) running version of the Dain/King Under the Mountain deck. For solo, one-handed play. Still don't have a lot of those great synergy-dwarves from the Hobbit sagas, but this deck still rocks and is fun to play.
Standard stuff: get some damage on Gimli quick, and he'll be your primary killer. Plus, he combos great with Grappling Hook when you need that big questing phase. It's obviously nice to see either Steward of Gondor or Legacy of Durin in your starting hand; if neither is there, you might want to consider a mulligan. Also beware the starting threat of 29 (and no threat reduction in this deck!).
Most of these cards are from Core set + Dwarrowdelf cycle, so not too hard to put together (except for Grappling Hook).
