I built this deck with two goals in mind: 1) actually use Expecting Mischief for once 2) steamroll The Seventh Level
Now, the Seventh Level is not a very hard quest, but Expecting Mischief is not a very good card, and this is not a very good deck! But it is really fun to kill every enemy in play without ever flipping over a shadow card.
Hopefully you can deal with all of the enemies while they're in the staging area (or as they are revealed), but if not, use your Gondorian Spearman with his trusty Spear of the Citadel to kill the (hopefully nearly dead at this point) enemy before its attack goes through.
Everything in here is pretty self-explanatory, but in case it isn't:
- Every cheap ally is either meant to quest (Angbor, ERK, Mablung, Raven, Pippin, Quickbeam, Rosie) or be a body for Hail of Stones and/or an emergency chump block (Ioreth, Knights, Snowbourn Scout), except for the Guardian of Ithilien which is meant to use the Ranger Bow.
- Most of the enemies in The Seventh Level have one or two HP, so after Thalin softens them up, you should be able to take them out before they engage you. But if an enemy does engage you, you can use Reckless Attack to kill them before they attack.
- CelebrĂan's Stone goes on Thalin since he will always be questing. Usually Gildor is questing too, but if Watchful Eyes comes out it should go on him.
- Draw cards with Gléowine and Gildor Inglorion.
