it makes nearly no sense to take the (MotK) Elfhelm except the tacticsphere, his ability s useless as hero. so, the spiritelfhelm it is. he helps avoiding threadincrease, so it makes sense to try a secrecy-deck. this is only possible with hobbits, so it become a secrecy-pipe deck with option to thorongil elfhelm to give bonus via horses.

playing advice:

try to get out early as much pipes and Hobbit Ponyas possible. mulligan and use Drinking Song to help to do that (Hobbit Pipe , Hobbit Pony and Drinking Song has 0 cost, so good combo).

then your carddraw will rolling, because of the 9 thread-reducing events (for each you draw 1 card with the Hobbit Pipe)

reduce the thread of your mates with the Song of Eärendil

pay the expensive cards (Thorongil, Rhovanion Outrider or evan the Unexpected Courage ) with Smoke and Think. mostly the Unexpected Courage is better played on heroes of your mates than your heroes.

little tricks:

• Elevenses+Hobbit Pony is a great combo (reduce thread and go questing) at Merry it could be of use to give him 2 pony, then he can quest, use his ability and be target for Elevenses
• use Fast Hitch + Peace, and Thought
• as soon as (MotK) Elfhelm has Thorongil try to give him the Armored Destrier, he defend with 3/3(4 with pipe) then (and shadowcancelling) that helps against minor enemys
• with Windfola and Thorongil elfhelm quests for 3 (not bad for a warrior) then he should get a Unexpected Courage its worth it
• try to use Bilbo Baggins more than once, its a pipe to yout hand every time you can play him. so if you get a 2. on hand, you know who the arrows will take ;)
• if one of your mates has glorfindel, include Asfaloth
