'Thus we return once more to the destroying of the Ring,’ said Erestor, ‘and yet we come no nearer. What strength have we for the finding of the Fire in which it was made? That is the path of despair. Of folly I would say, if the long wisdom of Elrond did not forbid me.’
...also, 'Give it to Tom Bombadil.' -Erestor, probably.
This is an alternate history deck about Erestor running off with the ring and attempting to hide it forever. Sam and Arwen catch him sneaking out of Rivendell and reluctantly join him in this desperate act. One goal I have with this deck is to have Tom Bombadil show up from the encounter deck and 'claim' the ring. Every win where Tom shows up counts double in my book.
This deck actually works really well and consistently due to Erestor's card draw, the low starting threat and Arwen's resource acceleration. I only mulligan if I get Dwarven Tomb and Will of the West in my opening hand. Load all the attachments on Erestor and get him up to 5 with readying and shadow cancellation. This deck beat Fire in the Night solo on the first try and just keeps impressing me. It’s super fun to play with a lot of choices every turn.
I included a sideboard for the saga quests: -The One ring, -Inner Strength, +A Burning Brand, +Magic Ring
Tom Bombadillo! is the 51st card and stays in for the saga quests because Tom plays by his own rules.
would include Hidden Cache and Hope Rekindled (not for the effect, for a o-cost-event playable at every time) super cards for Council of the Wise
