New to game. I only have 2x cores from 2011 and was missing a few cards but I got as far as 8 progress tokens in Stage 1B — the farthest I've ever gone after playing about 10 games for this quest with a different deck. This is awesome.

@robby awesome, glad to hear it’s been an improvement for you. This deck was a revision I made from a single core deck I found on a Reddit forum. With or without the extra cards from additional core sets, I would always reset immediately if Aragorn or Eowyn are taken prisoner

Is this deck good for other quest in general?

I was able to complete the mission on the fifth attempt.

@Anitadinamita - it’s been a while, but if I remember right it was successful with most of the quests in the first cycle and core set. I’m not one to create a new deck for every scenario if I can avoid it, so I built this for the hardest / most specific quest in the cycle and was happy with it.

@Anitadinamita Good luck! And I’ve found that some quests like Dol Guldur still have a heavy luck swing depending on the setup and draw of the encounter deck. Don’t hesitate to reset early if you get a bad draw.

Ok! I will let you know how it goes… I guess I have to get used to “die” and reset with no frustration
