Jreilly89 has a newer deck inspired by this one: An Offbeat Dwarf Deck - Shadow and Flame

Elrond takes Bifur and Gloin. Gloin soaks up damage to fuel the deck's engine, while Elrond is there to get the most out of any healing. Bifur and Narvi's Belt helps smooth out the deck, while Legacy of Durin and Hardy Leadership keeps the Dwarves up and running.

Huh, an Elrond deck without Vilya. Haven't seen that one before... :)

In all seriousness though, this just proves how great of a hero Elrond is from the start, even without his ring. The extra healing is so good, especially against archery quests or for heroes like Treebeard or Glóin. And the fact that he can pay for , , and allies?!!! Insane! Great stats as well, good quester or defender (A Burning Brand is in sphere), noldor trait--what's not to love?

and you can make it even better, add Imladris Stargazer and mining is great, furthermore add 3 A Very Good Tale would cut the Radagast's Cunning Secret Paths and 1 Erebor Battle Master for it

@JTTawney indeed, even ignoring his two awesome abilities (just one of them would be great on it's own), he has great stats. 3 Willpower, 2 Attack, 3 Defense, and 4 health!

@doomguard I'm torn on picking that up because I own all the cards in it for the Dwarrowdelf cycle. I think it'd almost rather be worth picking up the Hobbit boxes
