AlasForCeleborn 715
Almost dozen years ago since we first rode into fire,
The rulers of the battlefield, rolling over trench and wire;
Into battle, no retreat, roll out! For our foes, we spell disaster,
In the trail of Dáin Ironfoot, Ori followed, we came after.
Mirkwood's Return showed the way,
Evolution leading to
O'er-Under Hill 'til today:
We're the first ones into the fray!
Steel Commanders!
(Battle calling the)
Steel Commanders!
From the Axehand's introduction to the beast known as the Sellsword,
With our blacksmiths and our bookkeepers, show the might of Erebor:
From the Storm on Cobas Haven to the Battle of Carn Dum,
Ride an ally wave to victory, cross the Bridge of Khazad-Dum.
Mirkwood's Return showed the way,
Evolution leading to
O'er-Under Hill 'til today:
We're the first ones into the fray!
Steel Commanders!
(Battle calling the)
Steel Commanders!
Deck strategy: Mulligan for Legacy of Durin and, depending on your comfort with risk, Dwarf Pipe. Early game, aim to get Dwarves out and readying on Dáin Ironfoot; late game, Born Aloft and Erebor Hammersmith can provide a very ineffective way to keep your threat in check, while Thorongil allows Dáin Ironfoot to block bosses more comfortably. Don't worry too much about grand strategy; with Bond of Friendship, your heroes oftentimes make up for the reduced consistency in your deck. Topdeck, play what you draw, and have fun.

Jun 01, 2022Thanks for the comments, With regards to the suggestions, sadly Nori isn't going to work because I'm a weenie with regards to threat so I think that Nori is pretty much necessary here. You're right, Fili and Kili in a multi-sphere deck isn't exactly optimal, even if, as I do, you work under the assumption of Easy Mode resources. That assumption is also partially why Miruvor and Errand-rider aren't here, though the latter is also explained by wanting to keep this primarily a Dwarf deck. With regards to Dwarven Sellsword... Not gonna lie, one of the main reasons I included it was for the line in the song, though, again, working under the assumption of Easy Mode resources (cough cough, Necessary Mode resources) helped me design the cost curve for this deck and decide that the reward was worth the risk for the Sellsword. |
Jun 02, 2022understanable. but i personally do not like 2 uniques of the same title, so i would replace 1 Azain Silverbeard with a Longbeard Sentry Dwalin is o.k. 2 times because he is so cheap you can sacriice the 1. gettin the 2. |
Jun 02, 2022Another Sabaton fan heart! Good stuff. |
Jun 02, 2022it remembers me of a "dwarven shieldwall" i once made: ringsdb.com but its not this good for solo. |
Jun 02, 2022great deck! I would possibly add A Very Good Tale to pump out dwarves faster, but with such limited space, it's totally understandable |
a heart for sabaton-fan!!! and nice adaption of the text.
to make the deck more efficient, i would include 2 Miruvor and 2 Errand-rider that would allow you to play a cost 2 dwarf in the first round
would discard killi/filli for that. 3 cost-allies in a 4-friendsdeck seems unefficient to me.
would replace Dwarven Sellsword with Sneak Attack for more uses of gandalf. the Dwarven Sellsword is at high risk, to loose him the same round you play him.
would replace 1 Azain Silverbeard with Nori
