The purpose of this deck is to manage the encounter deck to improve Lanwyn with his bonus if there are Surge cards and Rossiel with the cards in the victory display.

The third hero Glorfindel is used to have a threat close to 20 at the start, in order to be able to play some Secret cards after dropping below 20 thanks to:

Mirkwood Explorer provides control of locations, and ents assist in attack and defense.

If you have any suggestions for improving this deck, I'm interested!

trying to get more surge to improve lanwyn (and its a she is not ?) its not worth t. the additional encountercard is usually more bad than the bonus you gain.

there IS a possibility to gain harmless surge with cards that are put into the encounterdeck : Ranger of the North , Eagle of the North . so, i would either make a lanwyn-boost-deck with that or go full discardpile (replace her with a hobbit have serecy from the start, add Drinking Song and Resourceful ), but not a mixture, that makes each possibility worse.

i do not recommand all alep-cards, but if playing Lanwyn her falcon Gavin is a really nice addition and not op, because lanwyn alone is not this good o a hero and a bu to her is nothing that makes it inbalanced.

@doomguard there are some treachery cards that if they do not resolve, they gain surge. ("when revealed: ...., if not, -- gains surge") that sort of thing. So actually, Lanwyn is more useful than you think!

I also agree that using her Falcon Gavin would be both thematic and useful. I generally don't use AleP cards myself, but here, I think it would be fitting

I'm currently playing progression style and I'm on The Thing in the Depths quest where Lanwyn appeared.

But I note that Gavin is essential with Lanwyn, and that Ranger of the North (but in the Leadership sphere to play them) and Eagle of the North (tactical sphere) allow for more Surge.

I'm thinking of adding Risk Some Light to control the encounter deck even more but I don't know yet what to remove to replace.
