This is a mono-lore ranger deck making use of the new ALeP hero, Celador. It is designed with solo play in mind.
Strengths: This deck excels against combat-heavy quests, especially where there are nasty shadow effects that you don't wan't to face. Being a mono-lore deck, and with Damrod's effect, you will always have enough resources and cards. It's very slow, but you always feel in control due to scrying and having a big hand full of traps.
Weaknesses: There is very little in the deck, so location lock can be a problem against location-heavy quests. The deck focuses heavily on traps, so will struggle against enemies who cannot have attachments or be affected by player cards.
Denethor and Henamarth Riversong are used to scry the encounter deck. You should always know which encounter card you are going to draw. Once you know what encounter card is coming, you can easily plan which traps to lay down in the staging area.
Celador and Damrod are your questers. Protector of Lórien provides a small questing boost to Damrod.
If you draw an enemy, Celador will ready and he becomes your primary attacker. Use two copies of Ranger Spear to buff him up to 7 .
Denethor can be used as a defender in an emergency, but usually your traps and Coney in a Trap will be enough that you won't have to defend.
Anborn, Erebor Hammersmith, Master of the Forge and Damrod are your engine. They allow you to constantly draw and recycle trap cards, meaning you will have 10+ cards in your hand at any time.

Jul 28, 2022Good idea. The Emyn Arnen Rangers really help the questing. |
Jul 30, 2022Also, I would consider Mithrandir's Advice instead of Daeron's Runes. I think it is an auto include in mono-lore decks. |
Nice deck! If you're struggling with willpower, you might want to consider Emyn Arnen Ranger and Mablung.
