NERD 892
I like making weird decks. This is definitely one of them. It is a Noldor Discard/Song/Signal/Aragorn deck. My original idea was to use Rune-master instead of the typical titles as the starting attachment. Then, I needed some card draw. I solved that problem using Arwen Undómiel's Elven-light, Legacy of Gondolin, and Estel. Since Aragorn was already at three traits with Estel, I figured Andúril would be a good fit if I added The Renewer. However, all of these cards will be hard to find. Thus, Galdor of the Havens is there to improve the starting hand, while A Fair Exchange can find the final uniques. I also figured that A Fair Exchange would make Elladan and Elrohir usable. Funnily enough, A Fair Exchange synergizes beautifully with Legacy of Gondolin by lowering your hand size. It seemed wrong not to include Tale of Tinúviel when I already had the two love birds, but all the songs got me thinking. By adding Song of Healing, Love of Tales becomes useable. The end result of all this convoluted thinking is a deck that can leverage less popular cards. Aragorn can become a beast wielding a plethora of signals and being readied by his sword. For tough turns, Tale of Tinúviel can pump his stats up to truly ridiculous levels. This type of deck is my favorite. It's somewhat thematic, totally stupid, and has surprising synergies. If you want a good deck, look somewhere else. But the fact that Elendilmir fits with Aragorn and boosts Ring of Barahir is beautiful to me. Especially considering that Ring of Barahir allows Aragorn to love tales. Please leave any feedback in the comments. I would really appreciate it. Doomguard, if you happen to be reading this, please leave all the advice you want. Rip this deck to shreds.

Oct 04, 2022I am not sure it is that necessary, not many allies to play and you have Arwen Undómiel. But this is interesting deck. I do not have the last two ALeP expansions yet. But some card do look interesting. Oh and I like to try never published combinations as well :-) |
Oct 04, 2022I would only include one copy. However, it triggers Love of Tales, lowers cost, and can discard tons of cards if needed allowing you to buy cards despite Legacy of Gondolin. |
Include To the Sea, to the Sea!
