All the decks I make are intended for multi-player games, since I enjoy the social aspect of playing with others. This means that the decks tend to be specialised and rely on combining with other decks that specialise in other aspects of play. Please bear this in mind when reviewing and commenting on the deck.

This deck uses the combination of Legolas and Gimli who each have abilities to ready the other and grant additional bonuses. The deck operates by building up the strength of these two heroes and using their readying effects to use them for questing, defence and attack. This primary aspect of the deck is supported by a range of Dwarf allies with Nori reducing your threat when your allies are played.

In the early game you should get Elven-light into your hand (take a mulligan if needed to get this) since this is your primary draw-engine. Use this card as the discard-fodder for Legolas and then return it to your hand to draw more cards. Because of the resource cost involved in this combo and for readying Gimli, you will find that your resources for other cards are limited in the early game. If you can pull off a turn using Tighten Our Belts it will significantly improve your resource situation. Since Gimli requires his resources to trigger his ability, you should generally avoid paying for your Leadership attachments and instead get them into play for free when you play Erebor Toymaker.

The basic combo for this deck is a strong one and it allows you to contribute questing, defence and attack right from the first turn of the game. This makes the deck a strong support for other decks that require some build-up time.
