Apfelbaum 20

Second iteration of this Rohan themed fellowship deck, designed to tackle the Treason of Saruman scenarios. Worked reasonably well during the Three Hunters quest but needed some adjustments for Helms Deep.

The main idea is to put lots of mounts and songs on different heroes and have Elfhelm's passive ability grant bonus stats this way. This also includes fellowship Aragorn for whom a few cards have been included in this deck (Roheryn, Celebrían's Stone, etc).

The other deck in this fellowship includes Eowyn and Legolas as heroes which is why I included special mounts like Arod and Windfola in this deck. I´d change these mounts to best fit the other decks in the fellowship if needed.

Combat wasn´t a strong suit of this deck previously, thus I have included two copies of Gúthwinë in this version.

for non-hobbit-song-theme i would include Burst into Song and Song of Hope would include at least 1 Song of Kings for fastred its +1 def if he get a horse. and/or some Dúnedain Warning

I like the idea! But at first glance, the mount boost from Elfhelm doesn't seem super useful to your other heroes. As it stands, boosting him to 2 and Theodred to 2 isn't helping much. Perhaps Eowyn or Erkenbrand could pack more of a punch?

@doomguard Thanks for the feedback. I should definitely make room for Song of Kings (maybe letting go of the Golden Shield) and I have to admit I overlooked both Burst Into Song and Song of Hope. Back to the drawing board!

@frozen You are correct, the other deck in the fellowship is getting more mileage out of the boosts, because it is running both Eowyn and Legolas! Besides those two, fellowship Aragorn also picks up several stat boosts as I included sphere-granting cards for him in the deck.

Theodred. however, does get some good mileage out of Elfhelm. Snowmane lets him ready after question successfully and Theodred will be questing as often as possibly. He usually ends up with several songs since I usually put the resource from his ability onto himself and a stat line of 2-3-2.

elhelm is not bad with an Armored Destrier (2 defenses with 3 and shadowdiscard) so is Fastred (with it and song of kings 2 defenses with 4 and shadowdiscard + his ability)

an Elfhelm +horses is a suppoertdeck, wont really work alone. depending on what the other deck has, a few more horses (and perhaps songs) make sense (e.. Hobbit Pony or a hobbit, some Steed of the Mark for rohan or gondor, or Steed of Imladris or elves)

if you post the partnerdeck(s?) perhaps there is more advice

very interesting! i love this "mount" deck. When i played Fastred i've always used Dunhere + Spear of the mark with him, this new "setup" is pretty interesting. thank you very much!
