The Last Alliance is simply a fun card to play: it's a lot of fun playing Fast Hitchs on Treebeard, using The Shirefolk with an Ent hero in play, giving Treebird Halfling Determination, getting hobbits with Entmoot, and making Treebeard Friend of Friends with Merry.
The deck is strong but not an overwhelming power deck: it can be slow to start, and could use more threat reduction if there's another deck it's playing alongside. But like I say, fun.
Mulligan for Peace, and Thought and play it round one to give yourself plenty of options.
