I decided it was high time to finally give Hero Dori a shot on my table. Having heard terrible things about him, I endeavoured to overcome his shortcomings with broken Dain Dwarven synergy and Bond of Friendship shenanigans. To my surprise, I found Dori to be quite useful on a regular basis. I regularly use his Response to allow Bifur (in the partner deck) or Dain to defend bigger than I was expecting to. In your opening hand you're hoping for a Zigil Miner and hopefully Legacy of Durin. King Under the Mountain is a wonderful singleton to see as well. A Very Good Tale and any of the "overcosted" allies are a nice combo to come across also.
