The drums rolled louder. Fires leaped up. Great engines crawled across the field; and in the midst was a huge ram, great as a forest-tree a hundred feet in length, swinging on might chains.
Theme
This deck was built to beat in a thematic way for the The Battle of the Pelennor Fields in standalone mode for an event held by Andal on Dragncards. The constraints of the deck building were as follows:
- only thematic cards, allies, events, attachments: no Boromir
- each deck needed to represent 1 of the power at play: Rohan, Gondor and Grey Company
- the attachments' target need to be thematic: no steward of gondor on Eowyn for instance
One deck was Gondor themed, another one was Rohan, and mine was the Grey Company. My duty with is simple: kill the enemy. The deck one shots Nazgul and Witch-King alike, clean 4 enemies a turn. My buddies to quest and heal. The rest is mine.
Tricks
- Mulligan until I have the Armored Destrier and a Rohan Warhorse. Play those on Elrohir and Aragorn respectively.
- Play your 3rd War Axe and Rivendell Blade on Legolas and Dúnedain Hunter.
- Elrohir may block 3 times a turn.
- Attack with Elladan or Legolas + Rivendell Blade to be able to Straight Shot a Mumak.
- Play Thorongil to reduce your threat, if needed
- Don't hesitate to use Elladan's power and the Relic of Nargothrond.
- Play the Dúnedain Hunter with no second thought!
