DECK NAME - As Quick As We Can
"Come, Mr. Frodo!" said Sam. "Don't look at them! Gollum says we mustn't. Let's keep up with him and get out of this cursed place as quick as we can - if we can!"
OVERVIEW - The goal of this deck is to rush the quest and win in 3-6 rounds without Gollum ever leaving the staging area.
HEROES
- Beravor - draw cards every round
- Eowyn - attach CelebrÃan's Stone, Keys of Orthanc, Song of Kings, Steward of Gondor, and Unexpected Courage
- Grima - use his action to accelerate your board state; do not fear increasing threat
STARTEGY
- OPENING HAND - look for card draw; Steward of Gondor w A Good Harvest or Song of Kings are also good
- STAGE 1 - draw cards as much as possible and try to get Keys of Orthanc and Steward of Gondor asap; pay defensively the first few rounds
- STAGE 2 - easy to make the needed progress; hopefully Gollum has minimal tokens on him and you easily pass the final Escape Test
- ESCAPE TESTS - prioritize the end of quest phase escape test; Eowyn is usually enough to succeed; w CelebrÃan's Stone is only loses to one card; ready her with Unexpected Courage during an action window before the end of quest phase
- Warden of Healing - healing is necessary in certain playthroughs but not all
- Ranger Spikes - great round 1 play
- A Light in the Dark - use to push enemies back to the staging area where there might be an unattached Ranger Spikes
- A Test of Will - use to cancel Escape Test treacheries
- Risk Some Light - can be played any round using Grima's action; great card to play early to control the encounter deck
