Beorn and his tribe are wandering the hills and valleys of middle earth, scouring the land for evil, in turn providing aid to those that are oppressed by Sauron's malice.
Always wanted to play a solo beorning deck so thought I'd give it a try. Only just getting back into the game.
This deck is like a freight train. Slow start with low questing points but once you get some allies on the table like Firyal and Wellinghall Preserver it starts to really chug along.
Beorn and Grimbeorn lock down any combat and wipe enemies off the board pretty quickly. Beorn's Welcome was handy on Grimbeorn. The idea is that Grimbeorn would take the Raiment of War as well. Dori and Loyal Hound took care of any excess damage on Beorn and Landroval is there to bring him back if things get hairy in future quests.
I never did flip Osbera as I enjoyed her passive ability to reduce threat in the staging area with my damaged heroes and she's my main quester as is. I gave Magic Ring and Necklace of Girion to Osbera to help pay for high cost cards. Although Elf-stone helped out once with Firyal.
Overall a really enjoyable first game after a long hiatus. Thanks and any suggestions are welcome!
I have found that giving Grimbeorn the Gondor trait will make him basically indestructible because you can then give him a Gondorian Shield and Gondorian Fire and he basically can't die. But you would have find a way to pay for a Steward of Gondor since its a Leadership card... But even without that this deck is amazing.
