Ramalocé 3

This deck was created with the intention to play Saruman. Frodo Baggins helps maintaining a low threat and ready Saruman (as long as you succeed in quest). Glorfindel helps with quest and combat thanks to Light of Valinor. The low starting threat allows to play a lot of doomed cards and helps stuffing Saruman and Glorfindel.

You really aim for(in order):

This deck revolves around Heroes and not so much around allies. Saruman can defend a lot of time during the same turn as long as you have doomed cards but you won't be able to do that many turns.

Defiant Challenge can ready up to 3 characters (Saruman, Sam Gamgee and the one you target) but most of the time it is 2 (Saruman and the one you target).

Frodo Baggins always uses his ressources to ready Saruman and Glorfindel uses his in late stages to draw and get cards for Protector of Lórien thanks to Elven-light.

Always nice to see Saruman and Frodo Baggins in the same deck for the kind of synergy. I would do some minor changes :

I agree on some of your ajustement.

  • As I made this for solo, I like to be able to see the future and Henamarth Riversong can always be used as a trash and then replaced with an other one. But i agree that when I play it multi, it gets way less useful.
  • I think I did not see Close Call when building the deck because you're right it's really great card for this deck.
  • It was my intention not to play A Test of Will but it's a nice quality of life add. I find Steward of Gondor not that good as either all my events already have doomed for Saruman or are already drawing events. Plus, you really want to use that Frodo Baggins ressource every turn for Saruman meaning you would have to play it with 2 ressources from Glorfindel or from Saruman but i already have some good cost 2 quest for 2 in the deck.
  • Word of Command is a nice idea too.
