use Alatar turn one and the contract to ready him and use his ability again, to get your 3 undeads (preferably one of each) in the first planning phase and being able to go for the main quest in turn 1. This also means you always have 1 sidequest in the VD. You get the blue staff, so you don't need to quest that much in combat-focused rounds. you don't need to trigger Aragorn honestly. He's just here for name and sphere. Round Shield goes onto the Dunadan.
Mulligan for: Questers, Zigil Miners for resource accelaration maybe with Wizard Pipe too.
What you want to fetch with the contract: Always Vigilant Dúnadan as a non-kneeling defender, if you don't have him already.
Other options:
Arwen Undómiel or Elessar to make him an even better defender
Sword that was Broken/Strider for better questing.
If you had to revive a lot of Oathbreakers, Thorongil for Loreagorn is good too.
