Denethor will defend most of attacks. So playing A Burning Brand and Dúnedain Warning is a good idea imho. As well as Unexpected Courage to make him defend more than one time, since you gonna get more than one enemy and want to peek, what's next in enounter deck.

Legolas the killer. Remember, responses are optional. I forgot about it. Do not place progress tokens on first quest phase, you need some army to go further.

Éowyn obvious questing power.

Winged Guardian sometimes gonna help you defend.

Landroval it's a joker card. I mean, if Denethor gonna die by unfortunat shadow card, then hopefully you have Landroval. But why Denethor havent have Burning brand in first place.

Feint leave them for Witch king, you do not want him back into staging, so engage him, and feint his attack as many as possible.

Northern Tracker is important here, so many location you cannot travel to, but Norther Tracker can remove them anyway. So make them 3 :)

Oof, Burning Brand will cancel the Rangers of Ithilien's shadow effect. I would prefer Hasty Stroke.

@Wandalf the Gizzard unfortunatly yes, it does cancel it. It happens. The thing with Hastry Stroke is I do not find it being enought for this scenario, it can only be in 3 copies and with Tomb it's to many cards, and much more I hate getting 2 dmg by Wolves of Mordor shadow effect or +3 attack dmg unless you discard an ally, than losing ONE Ranger. After all, I need only one of that guy, so yeah, if both of those Rangers will be banished by Burning Brand .. bad luck. I had luck I guess, I've discarded on copy many times, but never 2 of them.
