This is my more or less thematic deck against the newest adventure pack 'Fire in the Night'. I played 5 times with it and won 3 times. So it works.
The strategy is simple: I try to build up Beregondas soon as possible. So I mulligan for Gondorian Shield, Protector of Lórien and Raven-winged Helm. Because Dagnirs first attack at the end of the planing phase is resolved without a shadow card it's possible to defend one or two attacks with Beregond when he only wears the Gondorian Shield. Later there are ways to heal damage like for example with the Imladris Caregiver or Ioreth.
As the game goes on Beregond gets all copies of the Unexpected Courage to be able to defend multiple attacks. In the meantime I start to build up my Noldor army, which can attack and quest. Once Thalion, Treebeard and Gandalf are played I'm ready to defeat Dagnir round by round, while it's no big problem to handle some smaller enemies.
When all important key cards are played out there remains an element of risk by dangerous shadow-cards, because the is one shadow card which boost up the enemys attack by one for every sidequest in the victory display so Dagnir could attack with a power of 15.
