+1 Steward of Gondor
+1 Elfhelm
This deck is trying to make the most of Drinking Song by playing all the Doomed cards during the first refresh phase and reset threat with Aragorn.
The idea is to play nothing except Bill the Pony until the first refresh phase (if you can) and then play Tighten Our Belts, Peace, and Thought, Drinking Song and all the Doomed cards.
At the start of turn 2 you should have 5 or 6 resources on each hero and a hand full of attachments and allies to play.
Aragorn with CelebrÃan's Stone, Sword that was Broken and Steward of Gondor can play all the , and cards.
The first two Fast Hitch are for Sam and Merry to ready them from Peace, and Thought. The third is for Rosie Cotton who boosts an attribute by 3 thanks to Sword that was Broken.
Merry's ability is handy with Gandalf in play. With Fast Hitch Merry can quest and do his ability.
I calculated that with all the cards that thin the deck, it is virtually a deck of 29 cards, without even playing Peace, and Thought. Maybe some players will find it boring, but it makes the deck very consistent.
Some results (thanks to Rouxxor for the tests!) :
Fire in the Night 1 - 0
Escape from Umbar : 1 - 0
Desert Crossing : 1 - 0
Long Arm of Mordor : 1 - 0
Mûmakil : 1 - 0
Race Across Harad : 2 - 1
Beneath the sands : 1 - 0
Black serpent : 1 - 1
Dungeons of Cirith Gurat : 1 - 0
Crossing of Poros : 1 - 0
I am planning to play Nightmare quests with this deck.

Apr 09, 2019Seeing how many unique characters you have, the presence of Henamarth Riversong and your amazing draw engine you could consider slotting a single copy of The Arkenstone. |
Apr 09, 2019Thanks for your comments! I thought about The Arkenstone but I already have Sword that was Broken and Faramir as global willpower boosts. The deck can quest at about 60 once completely setup, so I probably don't need The Arkenstone. But that's a great idea with all the unique characters! |
Nice! I have a similar "turn 2 deck" in concept and haven't yet thought about Drinking Song. I will definitely slot it right in there.
