The challenge: Defeat Conflict at the Carrock with Fatty Bolger
My thought was to keep my threat low during stage 1 and build up a boardstate. I didn't want to depend on Grimbeorn showing up, so Gandalf is the extra Fat of this deck. Play him when you think you will be advancing to stage 2.
If your threat is low enough you should be able to engage the Trolls one at a time. If you do have 2 enemies you can play the Small Target Silver Lamp combo and try to get them to attack each other.
I beat the challenge but never got to trigger this combo because I was killing the trolls the same round I engaged them one at a time.
