Here is my take on the new fellowship contract. So gameplay is pretty straightforward. Frodo will always ready Beravor in the early game. Steward of Gondor goes onto Frodo. Early versions of this deck had core set Gandalf but his resource sink for a fleeting ally was bad so I went with Hobbit Gandalf instead and it was much better. Late game this deck has some interesting choices to make. First off I noticed that early game i just wanted to get my contract made and thus prioritized small cheap allies. As the game progresses however I was often wanting bigger and better allies so I would chump block the weanies to get them out of play. Ceorl is really great because his ability to move to another player opens up a slot for a better ally on my side. I should mention that I only play multiplayer. Derufin as well is good to open up an ally slot. In deck building I prioritized going singleton with most of my allies to increase my chances of getting the fellowship up sooner and went with multiple copies of only the key allies I want to see early game. In testing this deck faired well paired with a tactics deck against the first scenario in The Shadow in the East. Give it a try and let me know what you think :)

Aug 20, 2019Legacy can be a straight swap with tighten our belts. It in undoubtadly faster than tighten our belts. I actually had The Gathering Storm but that was making the tactics player angry so I went with I more diplomatic choice. Realistically those three slots should be a reaource accelerator of some choice. |

i can imagine, that legacy of numenor make it a lot faster, would at least replace 2 of "tighten our belts" with it. (Steward 1. round, and either gandalf or 2-3 up to cost 2 allies 1. round) the startingthread is low enough and you have 2 greetings, should be enough. if u use legacy, the partnerdeck (if ist tactik) should use favour of the valar or spiritberegond.
