Copterman 1313
DECK NAME - Giants and Boulders and Orcs, Oh My!
OVERVIEW - Good old-fashioned Dain dwarf spam deck with the necessary tricks to deal with early engagement of Stone-giant and the necessary card draw and resource acceleration to get ahead of the encounter deck. After taking a little extra time on 1B, stage 2B will be a breeze. Will win in 6-10 rounds.
HEROES
- Beravor - draw cards each round
- Dain Ironfoot - attach 3X Cram when needed, 2X DĂșnedain Warning, Narvi's Belt, Steward of Gondor, and potentially Song of Travel if needed
- Gloin - attach Song of Travel
- Bilbo Baggins - attach Song of Travel and Boots from Erebor; can pay for neutral cards, but make sure to carry over at least 2 of his resources when you advance to 2B
STRATEGY
- SETUP - mulligan for Steward of Gondor
- ROUND ONE - play SoG on Dain, draw cards w Beravor and then finish out planning phase; DO NOT commit Bilbo to the quest in case you surge into a second Galloping Boulders treachery; it's actually a good play to actually not play an ally in case you are forced to engage Stone-Giant; Dain can take the hit in round 1 and then you can chump for a few rounds until you build up the needed to kill it
- CARD DRAW - Beravor, Daeron's Runes and Gandalf
- THREAT REDUCTION - You don't need a lot. Gandalf is enough
- Erebor Battle Master - attacking for 18 (6 a piece) is noice!
- Erebor Hammersmith - great for recurring discarded Cram; also you might need an attachment that was discarded due to some encounter card effects
- Boots from Erebor - gives Bilbo Baggins an extra hitpoint allowing him to take damage from Galloping Boulders and thereby saving an ally; 2X Warden of Healing will heal your heroes back up quick
- Cram - allows for readying from round 1 vs the usual Unexpected Courage; Erebor Hammersmith can recycle
- A Test of Will - save for Wind-whipped Rain mostly, but also might need to stop a Suspicious Crow from bringing a Stone-giant back into play
"Erebor Battle Master - attacking for 18 is noice!" I don't think that's true any longer with the errata?
