I built this deck around Erestor (), who ensures that you see nearly every card at least once but also demands a low cost curve and minimally situational cards.
Arwen Undómiel () contributes resource generation. Usually I am not able to play every card in my hand, so discarding one for a resource is seldom a problem. Then based on what I have in my hand I can decide where to allocate Arwen's resource.
Elrond () fields the allies. His ability allows the play of leadership and tactics allies. Combined with Vilya, he helps play spirit attachments and events as well.
The Ents are key. Chump block with the others until you can get a Derndingle Warrior and a Wellinghall Preserver.
Key attachments are Self Preservation (perpetual healing), Silver Harp (regaining cards you're forced to discard), and Unexpected Courage (more actions).
The key event is Will of the West. Be sure you count how often that comes up before you reshuffle. You will likely need to reshuffle at least once. I normally discard the first but always shuffle when the second comes up, no matter how early, because otherwise you'll never be sure when it comes again. Occasionally I may delay by reclaiming it with the Silver Harp.
