giova has a newer deck inspired by this one: THE ALL NEW SMASHERS OF ROHAN! v2.0

I want to create a Rohan Deck, for the "revised ed", starting from the amazing "riders of rohan" intro deck, using also Dúnhere with the Spear of the Mark + Fastred combo (in the riders of rohan too).

A tactic/spirit deck, focused more on the "beatings" than the "questing" maybe. The Escort from Edoras help. The West Road Traveller is a good quest card, that can pick "place to explore" in the planning phase, dodging the worst travel effect.

Hirgon is here to gave to us the red tactics resources that we need to equip our good lad Dúnhere with 2 Spear of the Mark and the bouncing Fastred (with a Steed of the Mark maybe, to quest and untap) do the main part imho.

Very important is Unexpected Courage, on Dunhere let you travel along as a smashing machine the staging zone. (a Rohan Warhorse until the second spear doesn't came along, helps Dúnhere double tap).

I've tried on a pair of simple quest (Mirkwood ones, and an Anduin one) and performed well imho.

I want to use only "revised pool" cards, to try to use those amazing side boards from the intro decks.

Have you tried this deck in the Angmar Awakened campaign? Also, what cards should I be looking for in my opening hand to get things going?

Hi @potatoslammer, no i haven't try it yet on the Angmar campaign, until now i tried it on the 5 mirkwood adventures (the 3 core ones, Dol Guldur still break my horse :D; and the 2 extra ones Oath + Nibin Dur with good results).

good cards with "mulligan value"? i think: Unexpected Courage, Spear of the Mark and Horn of Gondor.

The tactics ally come in pretty well with Hirgon ability and discount (Westfold Lancer and Westfold Outrider my favourites: the last one, the outrider, let you "play" with the staging area, and THIS can help A LOT, and set te pace of the attacks imho.

The Escort from Edoras help with the quest, obviusly, but in combination with Ancient Mathom helps also for the "drawing" if a location get solved, maybe put on the plate with the West Road Traveller ? :)

Hi @potatoslammer i've modified this deck, with a little add on the attachments (double Horn of Gondor and Horn of the Mark ) , still working on it :)

As a main defender, 3 Defense and 3 HP for Fastred is very risky, i would add at least a couple of Gondorian Shield and a couple of Defender of Rammas for bigger attacks.

Hi @lorunks very good cards! yes, good call, especially the Defender of Rammas.

I've created a 2.0 version of this deck, but the main part remain untouched (i've modified the attachment).
