Haldan roams far and wide. He has also found the one ring.
I'll be playing this deck mostly solo.
Using the The Grey Wanderer I'd pick my first card as Strider even though Haldan's ability covers off exhaustion, having him ready at all times to either fend off weaker attacks or attack back I think will be important. The One Ring will fetch Inner Strength at first to help with defending until I get Gandalf or Gildor Inglorion into play.
I'm considering using only the Gandalf card rather than the one from the core set as I've found he has been essential in The Grey Wanderer decks I've built and I've always had him in play so that the other Gandalf just gets unused. As I'm writing though, I may want to keep him for threat reduction at some point down the road on future quests.
I can have one of those better allies, Gandalf, Firyal or Gildor Inglorion out turn two.
Erebor Hammersmith is there to retrieve my location attachments and Miner of the Iron Hills will deal with a condition. The rest of my allies are somewhat thematic with Haldan.
For attachments, I think the location attachments are self explanatory with Haldan. I was thinking of adding Elf-stone but with the amount of resources you generate with The Grey Wanderer deck I've found I dont always have problems paying for allies. I'll eventually fish out Strength and Courage to add to Haldan's attack power.
I have found Risk Some Light helpful for some extra deck scrying on top of Firyal in solo play. Timely Aid will also help with getting allies onto the table.
I have Gléowine and Deep Knowledge for some extra card draw if I find the deck needs it down the road.
Thanks for checking the deck out! Comments are more than welcome. Cheers!
